![]() Thank you to anyone that can identify a built-in function, OR can point me to any tool I can somehow connect to from inside the spreadsheet. The relevant value is returned to populate the cell. That is: give the function a stock symbol and request the latest price (or other data). There are functions in both Google Sheets and Microsoft Office/Excel that get the latest stock price quote in a cell. It should be a pretty straight forward function that I'm looking for (with admittedly & apparently a hard answer for Open/Libre Office to address). Download the Excel spreadsheet that can automatically get stock quotes from Yahoo Finance - no VBA coding required. (The Yahoo Financial data link no longer works, and I found no other stock price sources data bases that are algorithmically accessible on the internet). I'm looking to Get Latest Price Quote for a openly traded stock market Stock. ![]() ![]() after spending a good few hours perusing various Open Office and Libre Office forums to get an answer (or directions to an answer) to my question, I failed miserably and decided to bite the bullet and publish this query.
